Frederick is that rare combination—someone who can not only imagine new concepts, but can follow through to execution, often single-handedly. His ability to recognize an opportunity or a need—and his talent as a voracious mediaphile—has led to many “firsts” and breakthrough accomplishments in newspaper, magazine, TV, film, web and multimedia.

He has worked with some of the biggest media companies in Canada: Rogers, CBC, TVOntario, Cogeco, and a personal favourite, Whistler Printing and Publishing Group Inc.

Among his production credits is one of the biggest HD collections for the Canadian Tourism Commission, including an unprecedented bank of coast-to-coast aerial shots.

His film work has been used to promote Canada during the Olympic Games and promote Canadian tourism internationally.

His distinctive print work has entirely reshaped editorial products, driven sales and solidified market shares.

The mandate was to raise awareness of the Foundation and drive traffic to their web site. Using a mix of conventional and unconventional tools, Frederick first produced and directed a one-minute vignette for each of 5 of the Foundation’s projects, along with a five-minute video on the Foundation itself. These aired at the Montreal Biôdome and as interstitials on various TV networks. A second component was the development of a  social media web platform to share best practices and engage the community in the Foundation’s initiatives. Frederick Wallace supported the biggest commercial partnership deal involving the Canadian Tourism Commission and Air Canada by producing and directing And Action! The Birth of a Commercial. The advertising campaign was subsequently produced for the United States, the UK and Germany. The soundtrack features Céline Dion.

The behind the scenes of Canada’s first Tourism Travel Marketplace that brought 150 international media to Montreal, Canada.

Responsible for product development, newspaper publishing, magazine publishing and newsroom management in Whistler, British Columbia.

The youngest newspaper Publisher ever appointed by Cogeco. Responsible for publishing newspapers for the Eastern Ontario Region.
